Sip a mimosa, enjoy some light fare, and then sit back and enjoy a performance in the parlors of the beautiful Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum in the Bronx by the renowned woodwind ensemble Quintet of the Americas, with flutist Karla Moe, oboist Matt Sullivan, clarinetist Paul Won Jin Cho, hornist Barbara Oldham, and bassoonist Gina Cuffari.
The program will include the premiere of Variations on Two American Birds by James Cohn, Samuel Barber's gorgeous Summer Music, Eric Ewazen's Roaring Fork, music by Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, and Scott Joplin, Tico-Tico, plus a Valentine surprise! Composer James Cohn, who will be celebrating his 89th birthday, will introduce his new piece.
