Gerald W. Lynch Theater - John Jay College
Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre premieres ANNA, inspired by Tolstoy's classic Russian novel, Anna Karenina. ANNA side-steps a literal re-telling of the novel in favor of an impressionistic, multi-layered exploration of love and infidelity within stifling social conventions.
ANNA features an original composition by frequent collaborator Aleksandra Vrebalov, known for her recent commission by the Kronos Quartet, and lighting design by Roderick Murray. Presented by the CUNY Dance Initiative.
