Edith Lettner and Diana Wayburn present newly composed music based in African, classical music and jazz traditions for brunch @ Caffeine Underground in Bushwick.

The program includes "Procession" and "Takosabar" both composed by Diana Wayburn at the beginning of 2020 and both based on West African traditional rhythms.

Edith Lettner will be presenting an original composition, "Serenity" a haunting ballad with a syncopated rhythm moving from minor to major colors.

Both composers are using improvisation to develop their pieces in the tradition of jazz music.

Edith Lettner will be performing on alto saxophone and the dudek and Diana Wayburn will be performing on cello and percussion.
