James Besser, New York composer-pianist, celebrates his 65th birthday with a concert of Jewish music. Composers include Mendelssohn, Bernstein, Copland, Ravel, the neglected 20th century Italian-American composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, and James himself. This is a concert in the Composers Now Festival (composersnow.org). Includes a reception in Revelation Gallery, showing the art of Jewish painter Anatoliy Fatakhov.
Free, but registration is helpful for catering purposes.
